After taking a yoga class with a friend, I found myself completely hooked. I began to spend all waking hours at the studio, eventually gaining my yoga teacher certification via a 200 hour training program. Following my certification, I was hired on and spent the next four years completely immersed in the world of teaching and refining my practice. The yoga studio community offered a place that I felt free to be myself while exploring the inner workings of yoga on the mind and body.

The pandemic in 2020 completely changed the world as we know it with the hands-on intimate yoga studios being especially impacted. Sadly, all of the yoga  teachers at my studio were let go. The heartbreak was unfathomable. Not only had I lost my community but I missed yoga desperately. In my sadness, I felt an overwhelming sense of burnout.

During this time of pain and confusion, I knew that it was more important than ever to remain positive and dynamic. You never know how the universe will bless you! Although I have not returned to the studio, I'm so grateful to be able to connect with all of my fellow yogis online.

This little corner of the internet is the perfect impromptu studio. What we lack in walls, we gain in the ability to connect without borders, without time constraints, and without fear of judgement.
